Our brand-new tour for 2016 is a day-long visit to some of the very best Christmas markets in the country with an insider who will point you towards the very best these markets have to offer!
Every Sunday until Christmas, Stuttgart Steps is debuting a new tour that personally guides you through the three best Christmas markets in the region - the medieval market in Esslingen, the baroque splendor of the Ludwigsburg market, and the charm of the elaborate Stuttgart market.
At every stop, a short tour will be given of the city and markets, where I'll be sure to point out my favorite booths for shopping, eating, and drinking. Guests will then be able to explore the market on their own before we meet up and move on to the next market.
Traveling on hassle-free public transportation means you can indulge in delicious Glühwein if you wish, and you don't have to deal with the notorious traffic and parking woes these markets are famous for. The cost of public transportation is even included in the price of you tour!
In my six years of living in Germany I've traveled far and wide to visit as many Christmas markets as I can, so I know how lucky we are to have three of the very best right in our backyard! So many markets can start to blend together, but these three remain unique and distinct, with artisanal goods and food options that go way beyond your typical wurst!
Reservations by 21:00 the previous day are required, and the tour may be cancelled in extreme weather.
